Jenoptik presents versatile photonic solutions at SPIE Photonics West
At the trade show, the Jena-based photonics group is presenting solutions that enable innovations in the semiconductor equipment industry, laser and medical technology, solar cell manufacturing, and modern information and communication technologies. Jenoptik is also once again one of the main sponsors of the SPIE Startup Challenge, one of the most important competitions for new businesses in the industry.
At the world’s largest trade fair for photonic technologies, SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco, Jenoptik and its group companies SwissOptic and TRIOPTICS will be presenting their broad product portfolio at the end of January 2025.

Two photonic experts from the Jenoptik Group will be presenting current product and technology trends in their talks:
- January 26, 2:40 to 3:00 p.m. PST: Next-generation 80x nm high-power diode lasers based on single- and multi-bar packages
- January 29, 11:30 to 11:50 p.m. PST: Meta lens metrology: challenges in objective assessment of image quality
In addition, the group company TRIOPTICS has been nominated for the Prism Award in the category of test and measurement. The award ceremony will be held on January 29.
Supporting photonics entrepreneurs in the SPIE Startup Challenge
Jenoptik will also be a major sponsor of the SPIE Startup Challenge, a competition for photonics entrepreneurs to present their light-based business ideas to industry experts. The competition is hosted by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, and is one of the most important competitions for new innovations in photonics-enabled healthcare and deep tech.
The final presentations of the Startup Challenge will take place during Photonics West on January 28, 2025. Founding partner Jenoptik has been supporting this event since its beginning, providing jury expertise and cash prizes for the top three finalists.
