Discover how Jenoptik enables innovations with smart photonic solutions – from January 28 – 30 at SPIE Photonics West

The trade fair for optical and photonic technologies in San Francisco at the end of January once again offered many opportunities for product demonstrations, exchanges and insights into industry trends.

From January 28 to 30, Jenoptik and SwissOptic presented themselves together at an exhibition stand in the “Moscone Center” in San Francisco. TRIOPTICS was also represented directly opposite – a clearly visible expression of the community and joint strength of the Jenoptik companies.

We were happy to present our products and solutions for semiconductor equipment, medical technology, laser material processing, imaging and sensor technology. TRIOPTICS also used the SPIE AR | VR | MR specialist forum on January 28-29 to present metrology and high-precision technologies relating to augmented, virtual and mixed reality.

But it wasn't just our products that were in the spotlight at the fair; our HR colleagues also actively promoted the Jenoptik Group and received a positive response, not least at the parallel two-day SPIE Job fair.

As in the previous year, the trade fair team also welcomed a group of students from CREOL, the College for Optics and Photonics, who, after being welcomed by Executive Board member Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit, got to know the products from Jenoptik, SwissOptic and TRIOPTICS.

Among the visitors to the stand were two Consuls General who came to Photonics West to find out more about Thuringian optics and photonics companies: the German Consul General San Francisco, Oliver Schramm, and the Swiss Consul General, Balz Abplanalp.

Jenoptik was once again one of the main sponsors of the SPIE Startup Challenge, a competition for photonics entrepreneurs to present their light-based business ideas and innovations in the fields of healthcare and deep tech to industry experts. The final presentations of the Startup Challenge took place during the trade fair on January 28, 2025. Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit presented the symbolic cheques to the top three winners together with the SPIE President. Congratulations!
